Dominica is an island located in the Caribbean.  It has an untamed beauty! Doesn’t she? Dominican was christened by Christopher Columbus in 1493 but continued north without making landfall. The island of Dominica was largely ignored for the next 200 years! The French and British both sparred for it with Britain finally getting full control in 1805. Dominican then gained independence in 1978!
