Mangoes are a fruit grown solely in (sub) tropical climates. Mangoes can vary in size and color such as yellow, orange, red or green. The mango also carries a single flat, oblong pit. Ripe mangoes give a sweet appealing smell. Interestingly, the seed contains the plant embryo.

Question: What is gelato made of?

Answer: Gelato is very similar to ice cream in that it has the same basic ingredients ~ milk, cream, and sugar. This free photo looks a lot like an ice cream shop but it is actually a gelato parlor. The difference with gelato is that the sugar is much lower then the average ice cream. Unlike ice cream, gelato is also frozen very quickly, has a higher fat content, and can be stored for much longer periods of time then standard ice cream.
